Every year sees an amazing range of festivals that help make this the most fascinating small town in America! On this page, I present an enhanced version of the 2018 Wallace Chamber of Commerce Events Calendar. Many Silver Valley events are also included. Several of Wallace's festivals are large enough to warrant their own pages, complete with photos and forms.

The Route of the Hiawatha Rail-Trail will be open daily from May 26 thru September 23, 2018. The 15 mile mountain bike trail, trailheads, and facilities are open from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. During the peak season, June 18 thru September 3, the hours are extended to 5:30 PM (PDT). Adult Trail Pass $10; shuttle $9.

Gyro Days Carnival and Lead Creek Derby in Wallace

Thursday is the start of the downtown Carnival that runs through Saturday night.

The 77^th running of the Lead Creek Derby from Mullan to Wallace will begin at noon on Saturday, June 16, 2018, when the brightly colored leather ball drops into the South fork of the Coeur d'Alene River.

The Lead Creek Derby Raffle
is based on the time it takes the Gyro Ball to float from Mullan to Wallace. The elapsed time and ticket numbers are randomly paired by computer. Tickets are $1 each. A book of ten is $10... but then you only have to print your name once.

Seventh Annual Wallace Idaho Blues Festival

This festival was named Best Blues Festival three consecutive years by the Inland Empire Blues Society. We are now in their Blues Hall of Fame. It is one of the largest cultural arts events held in scenic northern Idaho each year. This year we have 16 performers and bands on 9 stages over 3 days.

We just added two new events: Louisiana Crawfish Dinner on Friday "Can't Wait to Boogie" Breakfast on Saturday

4 - 7	Fall for History at the Center of the Universe New Event in 2016! In cooperation with the Idaho Humanities Council, the Idaho Historical Society, the Idaho Association of Museums and Visit Idaho, Wallace will be celebrating its heritage with a series of colorful lectures, history re-enactments, live theater productions, and guided tours of the town, which as far as we know is the only city in America entirely listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
